The Caterpillars of this species feed on Grass ( POACEAE ).

The butterflies of this species are dark brown, with a number of small white spots. The males have a pale brown sex brand on the upper surface of each forewing.

Underneath, the wings are a mottled grey with some indistinct white spots. The butterflies have a wingspan of about 2.5 cms.

This species occurs along the north-east coastal strip of Queensland.
