These Caterpillars feed by mining the leaves of various members of the Bindweed and Sweet Potato family ( CONVOLVULACEAE ) , eg:

  • Sweet Potato ( Ipomoea batatas ), and
  • Field Bindweed ( Convolvulus arvensis ).

    The adult moths are fawn with fringes of hairs on the trailing edge of each fore wing, and around the whole of each hind wing. The moths have a wingspan of about 1 cm.

    The eggs are laid singly on the upper surface of a leaf of a foodplant.

    They species is found all over the world, for example:

  • Slovakia,
  • New Zealand, as well as
  • Australia.
