The Caterpillars of this species live communally in a silken web on their food plant. They commonly feed on:
The adult moth has white fore wings with black tips and with black spots. The hind wings are a silky buff colour. Its wingspan is about 2 cms. The species occurs in southern Queensland and in New South Wales, Australia.
