This is a brown and white hairy Caterpillar with two rows of yellow dots along its back.

It was found feeding on :

  • Cadaghi ( Corymbia torelliana, MYRTACEAE ).


    It grew to a length of 5 cms, and pupated between the leaves of the foodplant in a voluminous cocoon.


    (incompletely expanded female)

    The adult moth was pale yellowish brown, with a dark line extending across each wing. It had a wingspan of about 6 cms. This species is widespread across central Australia. The above specimen was found at Bundaberg, Queensland.
