The adult moths of this species have yellow wings, with brown patches of various sizes on the forewings, particularly just below the apex on the margin, and also near the centre of the wing. The females appear to be somewhat paler than the males. The forewings have a distinctly hook-shaped apex, giving a recurve shape to the forewing margins The moths have a wingspan of about 2.5 cms.

The species lives in northern Queensland.
