These caterpillars are brown with a yellow stripe along each side and dark markings. The feed on :

  • Bracken ( Pteridium esculentum, DENNSTAEDTIACEAE ).

    The adult moth is pale brown with a pale submarginal stripe. The forewings have hooktips and a marginal cusp.

    The eggs are spherical and white, developing red markings as hatching approaches.

    The species is found southern Australia.
