The Caterpillars of this species are a pest on :
eating the flesh between the upper and lower skins of the leaves. They are also found on:
When it is mature, the Caterpillar leaves its leafmine to form a a cocoon nearby.
The adult moths have dark forewings with three white bars across each one. The hindwings are very narrow and have an extensive plume of hairs along the inner margin. The wingspan is about 6 mms.
The species is found from Gympie in Queensland to southern New South Wales.
