Female

The young Caterpillars of this species feed on dead leaves. Older Caterpillars bore into the trunks of live trees.

The female adult moth has bright green fore wings, and pink hind wings. She has a wingspan of about 4 cms.

The male adult moth differs from the female. The male is smaller and has mottled fawn fore wings, and pale green hind wings.

The adults are nocturnal fliers, and are attracted to lights.

The species occurs in Queensland and south-eastern Papua New Guinea.
