(Specimen: courtesy of the Macleay Museum, University of Sydney)

The adult moth has a wing span of about 3 cms. It is brown with a curved white line across the margin of each fore wing, and a shaded white straight line along the margin of each hind wing.

The moth normally rests with the wings flat, the forewings covering the hindwings, so that the curved lines along the margin of each forewing are aligned to give a continuous circular arc. Also it holds it mouthparts together and sticks them up in font of its face.

The specimen pictured here was taken in New South Wales.
