These caterpillars are green with tufts of transparent hairs, and a white dorsal line edged in red dashes. The first pair of dorsal prolegs is missing on the third abdominal segment.

The caterpillars have been found feeding on:

  • Blue Quandong ( Elaeocarpus grandis, ELAEOCARPACEAE ),

    sometimes completely defoliating a tree.

    The pupa is formed in a cocoon attached to a twig or branch, and is completely covered in bark.

    The adult moth of this species is grey with a zigzag lines across each fore wing. It has a wingspan of about 3 cms.

    The species has been found in Queensland.
