These Caterpillars have various food plants, including:

  • Sydney Wattle ( Acacia longifolia, MIMOSACEAE ), and
  • Heath-Leaved Banksia ( Banksia ericifolia, PROTEACEAE ).

    The caterpillars are dark brown and hairy, with a pair of pale wide dorsolateral stripes. They have a pale brown head. The longer hairs have pale tips.

    It pupates in a cocoon in the ground litter.

    The adult moths have fore wings that have a striking pattern of cream and dark brown. The hindwings are cream with brown spots along the margin.

    The species is found in Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria.
