Veleta An English Old Time Waltz danced with feet in ballet position (each turned out 45 degrees). Music: 3/4, approximately 120 beats per minute, 16 bar choruses. Original choreography by Arthur Morris, U.K., 1901. Notated in Labanotation by Don Herbison-Evans ( donherbisonevans@yahoo.com ) using LED (a Labanotation editor) Also available in machine-readable form for 3D interactive animation using LINTEL, (LED and LINTEL also need the glut32 graphics library) A verbal description of a social version is also available. The word 'Veleta' is Spanish for 'wind vane'. 'Pico Veleta' is the name of a mountain and an astronomical observatory near Granada in Spain. (updated 12 November 2007)
